The fuel filter is located between the fuel pump and the fuel injectors. Essentially it helps filter out the gasoline impurities that the fuel pump could send to the engine. By acting as a barrier and removing these contaminants, the fuel filter protects the fuel injectors, engine health and overall performance of the car.
